All around the world the subject of effective waste management is becoming more and more important.
The ecologically efficient disposal of industrial and commercial waste is now high on the agenda of all progressive and responsible organisations, so when HKN Energy recently decided that they needed to increase the waste management capacity for their oil camps in Northern Iraq they had no hesitation whatsoever in contacting Matthews Environmental Solutions to commission a further two Surefire® SF150 incinerators.
HKN Energy is a major oil and gas operator and producer focused on the Kurdistan Region of Iraq where they are actively exploring and developing new oil fields in the region and in 2012 the company purchased a skid mounted Surefire® SF150 incinerator for the efficient waste management at one of their camps.
The incinerator’s impressive 150 kg/hr burn rate was ideal for their needs while Matthews’ world-class engineering and high grade manufacture ensured that it would easily deal with the busy camp’s daily waste material efficiently, responsibly and with the bonus of minimal maintenance requirement.
As part of HKN Energy’s initial specification we constructed the Surefire® SF150 mounted onto skids so that it could easily be moved either around the site or even from site to site without any logistical issues.
Since HKN Energy received the Surefire® SF150 from us seven years ago it has been in constant use as the company’s primary waste management facility and throughout the whole of this period its waste incineration performance has exceeded all expectations.
In fact, so impressed was HKN Energy with the incinerator’s efficiency and reliability that when the decision was recently taken to extend their waste management operation they quickly contacted Matthews Environmental Solutions based near Manchester, England, to commission a second, identical skid mounted Surefire® SF150 incinerator.
Then, very shortly afterwards, they contacted us again to explain that they were so delighted with the performance of the original incinerator they had decided to order a third Surefire® SF150.
The second waste management incinerator has already been custom manufactured and shipped to the HKN Energy camp while the third machine, which is now nearing completion in our workshop, will soon be ready for transport to Iraq.
